Abstract Art / An introduction

Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists with independence from visual references in the world. It was embraced internationally, leading to a fruitful collaboration between all of the arts. Architecture, design, literature, cinema, the dramatic as well as the fine arts entered a new era full of experimentation.
